Treatment Options

Initial Consultation

A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to understand you as a whole person. This initial consultation takes 1 to 3 appointments (60 or 90 minutes each) where we explore your medical history, current difficulties, and personal goals. At the conclusion, I will share my diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. This foundational time allows us to determine if we are a strong clinical fit and if I am the right doctor to provide the treatments you need to get better.

Medication Management

As a physician, I offer thoughtful, evidence-based medication management for adults and adolescents ages 16 and older. I treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, sleep disorders, women’s mental health issues, and complex medical-psychiatric issues.

Individual Psychotherapy

I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy, typically meeting once or twice a week, to establish a safe and collaborative environment for self-exploration. This approach illuminates the conscious and unconscious motivations driving deeply ingrained patterns of thought and behavior. It is uniquely suited to helping you understand, tolerate, and integrate the complexities of your feelings, anxieties, desires, and fears. Together, we will examine how past experiences shape your current reality, empowering you to overcome self-defeating patterns that may be undermining your relationships or professional life.

Integrated Treatment (Meds & Therapy)

I offer combined medication management and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Many patients appreciate this approach, finding it allows for a cohesive treatment tailored to them. I recommend this integrated approach whenever possible, as it allows for a deepened therapeutic relationship — the unique bond, trust, and teamwork that forms between you and your doctor — and better outcomes.

Second Opinion

I offer comprehensive, multi-session diagnostic evaluations as a psychiatric consultant. This is helpful for those looking for an expert second opinion, clarity on complex or confusing symptoms, or an individualized treatment plan they can implement with their current psychiatrist, primary care physician, or therapist.

Personality & Diagnostic Assessment (MMPI-3)

I offer the MMPI-3 (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-3) for adults ages 18+ when clinically indicated. One of the most widely researched and trusted psychological assessment tools, it provides objective insight into symptoms, personality characteristics, and behavioral tendencies to help refine diagnosis and treatment planning. This service is not a comprehensive psychological or neuropsychological evaluation performed by a clinical psychologist.

Due to medical licensing regulations, services are only available to Massachusetts residents.
